Since April 2014, Bryan Gillespy has served as Senior Inspector (SI) with the United States Marshals Service (USMS), Criminal Intelligence Branch (CIB), which provides investigative research and analysis in support of various USMS operations and provides oversight of special information systems. SI Gillespy oversees all tactical criminal intelligence programs, manages the USMS biometric Mobile ID system, and serves as the USMS Investigative Biometric Coordinator. The USMS Criminal Intelligence Branch initiated and manages the USMS efforts in the use of Mobile Biometrics. SI Gillespy was assigned to the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force in 2005. During this time SI Gillespy worked 100’s of fugitive cases. SI Gillespy served as a team leader during all of the USMS’s Operation Falcon’s. During this time SI Gillespy was assigned to the MPD homicide division, and the Northern Virginia Drug Enforcement Division. SI Gillespy was also assigned to conduct threat cases with the Office of Protective Intelligence (OPI). SI Gillespy began his career with the USMS in 2002 as a Deputy Marshal in the Southern District of New York. Here, he was assigned to court operations and several protective details. SI Gillespy has also served as the Communications Officer in New York and Washington DC. A native of Illinois, SI Gillespy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994 to 2001. He currently serves on the USMS NextGen Project Team, and serves as an alternate board member on the Federal LInX board. He is a member of the USMS Critical Incident Response Team, and has instructed a variety of classes with the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and DC Superior Court.
