David is past president of the Central Florida Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Involvement with the National Fire Protection Association includes former representative on the Member Advisory Council. Currently he serves as a Principal Member of the NFPA Technical Committee on Exposure Fire Protection (80A); Recommended Practice in Fire and Emergency Services Organization Risk Management (1250) and Pre-Incident Planning (1620). David is Chairman of the Fire & Life Safety Code Board of Adjustments & Appeals for Orange County, FL and former Vice-Chairman of the Fire and Building Code Appeals Board - City of Orlando, FL. He has published articles in Fire Engineering and National Underwriter on multiple topics related to occupant safety and property protection. David has presented at seminars for various organizations including the Florida Fire Chiefs Association, American Red Cross, ASSE, and at NFPA training seminars including Fall Education Conference and Fire Expo of the Americas’. He is an authorized OSHA Outreach trainer for, Construction 10 & 30 hour and General Industry 10 & 30 hour, Competent Person: Fall Protection and Excavation. David has also taught as Adjunct Professor in the Occupational Safety and Health program for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. David joined Amerisure in April 2005 and services accounts throughout Florida.
