Douglas Swanson, MD, FACEP, FAEMS, has dual board certification in emergency medicine and EMS. He is the medical director for the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC), which provides paramedic service to Charlotte and throughout Mecklenburg County. Doug is a professor of Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) and medical director for MedCenter Air and the Center for Prehospital Medicine at CMC. Additionally he is a physician consultant with NASCAR's medical liaison department.
