Benjamin Vernon, BA, EMT-P, is a firefighter/paramedic for San Diego Fire Rescue where he’s a member of the Hazmat Team and Technical Rescue Team. He holds five specialist positions on the FEMA California Task Force 8 Urban Search and Rescue Team: Rescue Specialist, Hazardous Materials Specialist, Technical Search Specialist, Communications Specialist, and Medical Specialist.
