Mr. Anderson has extensive energy and infrastructure expertise developed through work at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), a large power marketer and as an international consultant. Currently as a Director-Energy at MCC, Robert works with developing countries and investors to implement energy projects that foster economic growth and reduce poverty. Previously, Robert supervised Electricity Policy at the U.S. DOE, managing the analysis of domestic policy and systems. Earlier at DOE, Robert served in the Oil and Gas Office with responsibilities at the intersection of global oil and gas markets with national energy goals and geopolitics. Before moving to DOE, Mr. Anderson worked at the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), a large power and transmission wholesaler. At BPA, Robert managed the Integrated Resource Plan, developing BPA’s resource strategy for generation and demand-side resources. Additionally at BPA, Robert managed energy price forecasting and served as an expert in natural gas markets. Mr. Anderson has held several international infrastructure consulting positions spanning Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle-East. This work has been sponsored by the World Bank, U.S. AID, the Inter-American Development Bank and other international organizations. The international work has focused on resource planning, energy sector restructuring, tariff design and liquefied natural gas markets.
