With more than 15 years of experience in the industry across all continents, Joerg Gmeinbauer is an internationally recognised expert in global power markets, with a main focus on business development, asset origination, strategy & M&A. Joerg has a proven track record in delivering growth for a number of globally leading energy businesses and has held several senior executive roles and board appointments throughout his career. Since June 2016 Joerg is the global head of Bureau Veritas’ power market operations, being responsible for the worldwide further development of Bureau Veritas leading market position in power generation and transmission & distribution. Previous to joining Bureau Veritas Joerg held several executive roles with Amec Foster Wheeler, FCC Group, Wien Energie and Siemens. An Austrian national, Joerg holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology and a master degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Business and has authored several scientific papers.
