Dr. Teodor Veres is a Principal Research Officer and Bio-Analytical Micro-Nano Devices Section Head in the Life Sciences Division of the National Research Council of Canada. He holds an adjunct professor position in both Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering departments at McGill University as well as at Laval University Medical School. He graduated in 1999 from Université de Montréal with a Ph.D. in Physics. Dr. Veres is an internationally recognized expert in the field of nanotechnology and lab-on-chip based micro-nano devices for applications in life sciences research, clinical and industrial applications. He is the co-founder of the joint NRC and Health Canada centre, Reference Centre for Rapid Molecular Diagnostic, Regulatory Sciences and Food Safety. Dr. Veres has coauthored more than 140 papers in per-reviewed journals and 60 patent applications.
