Majid Babai

Mr. Babai is the Advanced Manufacturing Chief at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Mr. Babai began his NASA career at MSFC in 1987 as an engineer in System Analysis and Integration Laboratory before transitioning into the Materials and Processes laboratory. His expertise includes Computer Aided Design, Computer Aid Manufacturing, CNC, Modeling and Simulation, Manufacturing Execution System, Additive Manufacturing, Composites Manufacturing and PLM. He has established and taken Additive Manufacturing, Automated Composites Manufacturing, Digital Manufacturing and Structured Light Scanning technologies to a new height at Marshall Space Flight Center. Mr. Babai received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from University of South Carolina and graduated in 1986. He has been married to Judith Babai for 37 years and has two children.
