Dr. Lauren Underwood been employed as a NASA civil servant for over 4 years, including support activities for the Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT) and, more recently for the Advanced Technology and Technology Development Branch in the Engineering and Test Directorate at Stennis Space Center (SSC). Currently, she serves as a SSC Project Manager for NASA’s Advance Exploration Systems autonomy software activities. She has fostered extensive knowledge and skills related to Technology Transfer, commercialization, partnership development, engineering related technologies, Intellectual Property Management, New Technology Reporting, patenting regulations, funding agreements, proposal development, new business development, proposal writing, strategic planning, and project management. Additionally, she has an established background related to intelligent autonomous systems, research and development, on-the-job training related to rocket engine testing/test complex operations requirements, complemented by expertise in scientific writing on a wide range of technical topic areas. She successfully provides and facilitates interactions that are required with technology transfer, at SSC, as well as at other NASA Centers, and is able to provide critical support associated with these activities.
