C. Barton Bollfrass is an fifth generation entrepreneur from Houston, and a seventh generation Texan. He was awarded the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Broadcasting for producing a children's radio program as a teenager. He served four years in the United States Navy, earning three Letters of Commendation and was awarded Honorman by the Navy League. He is a US Navy Dive School graduate, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal program graduate, and a Surface Warfare Sonar graduate. He also spent two years as a dolphin trainer for the Navy’s Marine Mammal Program. Bollfrass then spent 10years working in the film and television for industry for behemoths like Herb Ritts, Bunim/Murray, and Miramax Films. His work in film financing lead to film production, garnering him festival wins at the American Film Institute and SXSW in 2008. He then switched his focus to product development and design, working on defensive counter-measures for BAE Systems. Bollfrass then applied his knowledge of project management to business management and founded the first 3D-printing service bureau in North America, the first virtual-reality data analytics company, and the first STEM education company geared towards pre-schoolers. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Television, an Associate of Science in Mechanical Design, and studied Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University.
