Marlin Matthews is first generation railroader with nearly 20 years in the rail industry. He is currently the Engineer Standards II, Engineering Services for CSX in Jacksonville, Florida, a position he has held since 2008. Marlin joined CSX in the Mechanical Department in 2006 after serving 10 years with GETS as a Technical Director of Locomotive Operations and as a Signal Engineer. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Cavalry Scout (reconnaissance) where he was stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky., Ft. Hood, TX. and Camp Pelham, South Korea. He received a BS in Supervision and Management from Florida State and will complete his MBA at the University of Florida in December of this year. Marlin is originally from Oregon, but he currently resides with his wife in St. Augustine, Florida. He is an active member of AREMA committees 36 and 37 as well as the NUTCD
