Pamela Jo Busiek became President and CEO of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) in July 2011. She also served on the Board of Directors for four years including President/ Chairman. Busiek’s entrepreneurial background makes her well suited for this role. Her goals are to improve collaboration within the industry, increase benefits and services to members and grow ICMAD.ICMAD’s mission represents, educates and fosters the growth and profitability of entrepreneurial companies in the cosmetic and personal care industries worldwide. ICMAD has many options that educate and promote member companies and their lines at industry events, award programs, guidance on regulatory and legislative matters and high-level networking opportunities. With an ever-growing global membership base and more than 700 leading cosmetic manufacturers and distributors in professional and consumer categories, ICMAD is the trade association for the cosmetic entrepreneur. Busiek has been in the beauty industry for more than 35 years. High energy and highly focused describe the former President and co-owner of CBI Laboratories , where she served for five years after she hadcreated and marketed her own international skin care and vitamin line under The Solutions Company, becoming one of CBI’s largest customers. During her tenure at CBI, Busiek was the recipient of the “Cosmetic Innovator of the Year” award in 2008. She is an international speaker on the benefits of private label, advocacy and business growth. Busiek’s education includes California State University,Southern Methodist University where she graduated with a Major in Marketing and Economics and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administrationin1978. Busiek’s passions for quality and excellence were developed through her initial exposure to the beauty world as a graduate of Neiman Marcus Executive Training Program.
