Robert Case is the Chief Scientist for the Advanced Information Technology Center and is MITRE's Data to Decisions R&D Investment Area Leader. He began his professional career 25 years ago when he joined the National Security Agency. After some years with the government building analytic systems he joined MITRE's Bedford Artificial Intelligence Center in Boston and ran the Advanced Analytic Tools and Training department. He then spent five years as the CIO of a tier 2 automotive manufacturing company in Detroit where he ended up building a separate business unit dedicated to telemetry monitoring of industrial equipment and a watch center used to predict failure modes for several different manufacturing organizations. In time he returned to MITRE working in various DoD and IC organizations including leading MITRE's team at Fort Meade as the Executive Director of National Cyber Operations. Robert holds bachelor's degrees from Michigan State University in Biology and Computer Science and a Master's in Computer Science from Johns & Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Throughout his career Robert has focused on various analytic environments in applied business\mission contexts.
