9 years of hospice/palliative care experience. Started practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in 2013. Has worked with hospice agency both as a nurse and now in a provider role. Nursing background includes: critical care, hospice case management, hospice admissions. As a provider, responsibilities include: management of pain and symtpoms of a chronic illness along with primary care needs for hospice and palliative care patients alike. Has functioned in the rural community setting through a home based practice as well as in a clinic attending to patient needs. Currently functions as provider co-lead for inpatient palliative care consultation services. Certified through HPNA as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.
