Lake of the Torches Resort Casino
As the Assistant General Manager of Lake of the Torches Resort Casino, I have responsibilities to assist the Chief Executive Officer in overseeing the wide range of daily operations of the casino resort property owned and operated by the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin. I also am devoted to an ongoing Lake of the Torches Resort Casino Executive Development Plan to assure I am a qualified candidate for the next position of higher responsibility within my Tribe. I am one-half blood degree Chippewa (Ojibwe) and a Lac du Flambeau tribal member with more than 20 years combined experience in gaming, hospitality and gaming regulatory industry. Immediately prior to serving as the Assistant General Manager, I have worked as the Lac du Flambeau Band's tribal gaming internal compliance auditor/regulator for 12 years and includes project management responsibilities in coordinating the development of a Fee to Trust and Section 20 Off Reservation Gaming Application. I am very proud to have honorably served in the United States Army as an enlisted soldier for eight years, attaining the rank of Sergeant (Promotable), in the field of communications. Highlights of my military service includes serving in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield, Advanced Airborne School Jumpmaster - five years in the 327th Signal Battalion (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina and three years in the 121st, Signal Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Kitzingen, Germany. I believe in embracing opportunities to further my education, professional development, and gaining positive life & work experiences for goal achievement and success with family, community and business. I earned a Bachelor of Applied Studies degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Casino Management from the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada.
