Larry has homebrewed for 15 years and is a National-ranked BJCP judge. Larry and his wife Donna have twice placed their rauchbier in the NHC final round and have medaled at NHC with an American IPA. Larry presented at Homebrew Con 2017 on using different smoked malt in the same beer style. Larry and Donna continue to win medals with smoked beers and have advanced to the NHC final round for seven years. Larry’s background is in food science, and he has worked for a large sanitation chemical supplier for 25 years.
