John Baise has worked at Odell Brewing Company for 15 years. Hired in 2004, John was one of four packaging operators and one of 13 in production. In those days his primary responsibilities were stacking boxes on boxes, not spilling glue and putting labels on correctly. Since 2004 the packaging department has grown to 16 people, 3 shifts, and a 24/5 schedule juggled across 3 lines. John has remained in packaging (unlike his peers) because he enjoys dependable irregularity. As the department’s manager, John sees his current role as support and obstacle clearing for the engine that is the packaging team.
