Linda Cote is a Senior Investigator and AHFI in Aetna’s Special Investigation Unit with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bay Path University. She is responsible for conducting investigations of known or suspected acts of healthcare fraud, waste and abuse involving Fully Insured and Self-Insured Commercial plans, Medicare, and other Government plans perpetrated byproviders and facilitiesencompassing multiple specialties. Her successful investigations have resulted in the recovery of over $2.6 million of improperly paid claims, and over $14 million in cumulative annual prevented losses to Aetna. In addition to her five years with Aetna, Linda has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare including prior administrative roles within the radiology, cardiology, and emergency medicine fields.
