Jef Bauer is General Manager of Augustine Casino in Coachella, Calif. He is a 30-year veteran of the gaming industry with a reputation for turning around underperforming properties. His leadership experience includes all types of gaming operations, including traditional Nevada-style as well as Native American, riverboat and non-traditional land-based gaming. Bauer has a diverse background in the industry and has successfully managed every aspect of the business from the casino enterprise to hotel, restaurant, bar, nightclub, spa, convention and major live entertainment. He has developed proprietary customer service and CRM programs as well as the nation’s first national slot tournament. Bauer has been especially successful in highly competitive markets even when much of the competitive set is significantly larger with more resources and amenities.
