Matthew Dirckx




Matthew Dirckx started brewing in 2009 and, after a few years, joined the Boston Wort Processors. He helped judge the club’s annual Boston Homebrew Competition in 2013 and has worked in competitions every year since. He is BJCP certified and is active in his club’s study group to increase the number of certified judges. In 2016, Matthew was elected vice president of the Worts and began coordinating the club’s competition. In 2018, the Worts started a special IPA-only competition called Boss Hop. Matthew is on the organizing committee for the 2019 NHC first-round competition in Boston and is working to build a pipeline of new competition coordinators.
