Michael Fairbrother, founder and head meadmaker at Moonlight Meadery in Londonderry, N.H., says mead was love at first sip! Michael left his day job as a software engineer and has been making international award–winning meads since 1995. He started Moonlight Meadery in 2007 and released the meadery’s first commercial batch in 2010. Moonlight Meadery has earned medals at the International Mazer Cup every year it has entered. Fairbrother’s appreciation for mead’s versatility shows, with his meadery having produced more than 130 different meads.
