Senior Engineer
Southern California Edison
Hector Camacho received his BSEE from California State University, Long Beach in 1996, and his MSEE from the University of Southern California in 2001. He is currently a Control Systems Senior Engineer in the Grid Controls group, under the Grid Technology and Modernization group at Southern California Edison. During his time at SCE he has worked on several projects related to transmission and distribution, including HVDC, short circuit analysis, real-time simulations (RTDS), microgrid controller testing, and control systems applied to the grid. Recently in 2018 he created a microgrid control system simulator using Matlab. Before joining Southern California Edison, he worked in the aerospace industry, mainly in the design of satellite attitude control systems. He holds a California Professional Engineer license.
