A graduate of the United States Military Academy, Dr. Peake served a tour in Vietnam and then began his medical career at Cornell University Medical College followed by General and Cardiothoracic Surgery residencies at Brooke Army Medical Center.  His subsequent clinical and medical command roles in the United States Army culminated in his appointment as the 40th Army Surgeon General.  Subsequently he served as Chief Operating Officer at Project HOPE, a not-for-profit, humanitarian global health education organization; Chief Operating Officer/Chief Medical Officer of QTC, a provider of medical examinations, and from 2007 to 2009, as the 6th Secretary of Veterans Affairs leading the 2d largest cabinet agency of the United States government and the largest integrated health system in the United States.  A Senior Vice President at CGI, Dr. Peake is a member of the CGI Federal Board and works across the company to support strategic initiatives.
