Brian is a critical infrastructure research scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he leads a team of cyber-security researchers, power systems engineers, and computer scientists that are developing a HPC-based modeling and simulation capability to evaluate automated cyber threat detection and response strategies for the California electric grid. He is also technical contributor to several grid modernization projects under the Department of Energy's Grid Modernization Laboratory Consortium program. Brian previously held a position as Senior Software Engineer for DC Systems, where he built SCADA systems for electrical utilities. Brian holds degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics.
