Tom Carney is a highly respected thirty-plus-year automotive industry veteran who previously held the post of Vice President of Sales American Suzuki Motor Corporation. He has also held key executive leadership positions at American Honda Motor Corporation, Volkswagen of America and tier one supplier/institutions, Meridian Automotive Systems, Aerovironment, Evox Images, and Northwood University in the U.S. and in China. While in an executive capacity with American Suzuki, Mr. Carney also taught new product marketing and buyer behavior courses at UCLA and Cal State Fullerton. He is well-traveled and knowledgeable about the unique selling opportunities throughout the US and abroad and brings a wealth of leadership, executive and dealership experience to the Academy. At NADA, Tom has been an Academy instructor for Financial Management and Variable Operations for several years and is currently the Director, Program Development.
