Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe


Tony Brancazio, currently the General Manager of Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe. He started as a seasonal employee at Kings Island Amusement park in Cincinnati Ohio in 1980. In 1984, he moved across the street to join one of the first water parks in the country, The Beach. After three years, Tony then joined Wyandot Lake in Columbus, OH. ,where he stayed for three years before moving on to become part of Recreational Management and Development Inc. in 1991 as General Manager of Emerald Pointe in Greensboro, NC where he helped to bring the park back from bankruptcy. In 1993, Tony became VP of RMD, Inc. and was a partner in Emerald Pointe, Inc., the company that eventually purchased Emerald Pointe. Six years later, Emerald Pointe was named the twelve largest water parks in the United States. Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe is now a part of Palace Entertainment. Tony is currently serving on the board of directors for The Salvation Army’s Boys and Girls Clubs of Greensboro, Purple Heart Homes of the Triad, Jamestown Parks and Recreation, and the North Carolina Tourism Industry Association. He is also serving as a member of IAAPA’s Facility Operations Committee. Tony previously served on the boards of the Salvation Army of Greensboro, the NC Department of Labor Advisory Board, UNC Greensboro’s Recreation and Park Management Advisory Council, Crescent Rotary, and NC Health Department Pool Review. Tony enjoys spending time with his two sons Joe and Jake taking in hockey games, football games and the occasional deep sea dive. Joe recently graduated from UNC Charlotte and Jake, is a rising junior at Bishop McGuinness High School.
