Gordon Grundy, MD

Dr. Grundy is a member of the NHCAA Medical Director Advisory Group and is the recipient of the 2014 NHCAA Medical Director Award. He has been the Medical Director for Aetna’s Special Investigations Unit since 2008. Dr. Grundy joined Aetna in 1999 as the Connecticut Network Medical Director and later served as the Northeast Regional Medical Director. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, obtained his medical degree from the University of Rochester, earned an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven and completed his pediatric residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He also received pediatric oncology training at the NIH and earned Phi Beta Kappa and AOA academic honors. Dr. Grundy is board certified in pediatric medicine and practiced primary care pediatrics for 21 years prior to beginning his health plan career.
