Ransomware attacks are a major threat to the nation’s healthcare ecosystem, attacks have doubled in recent years. Jarvis Rodgers is the Cybersecurity and IT Audit Director for the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General. HHS spends more than $1.7 trillion to improve the health and wellbeing of Americans, its mission is supported by hundreds of systems that must be secure and reliable. Jarvis leads a team of highly trained cybersecurity and IT audit professionals that conduct complex security reviews (including ransomware preparedness) of HHS systems, contractors and grantees. Jarvis has an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems, an MBA in Technology Management and he is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
