Carrie Johnson is Director of Strategy and Policy and serves as the Tribal Affairs Specialist for FirstNet Built with AT&T. Before joining AT&T, she served as Senator Tim Johnson’s (SD) telecom policy adviser, supporting his policy efforts to expand broadband access in rural and tribal communities. In 2015, Carrie returned home to South Dakota and worked as the Manager of Government and External Affairs for SDN Communications, a rural statewide broadband provider based in Sioux Falls, SD. She started working for FirstNet Built with AT&T in July 2017. Carrie has an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, a B.A. from American University, and a Certificate in Cybersecurity & Privacy Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
