Elizabeth Martin is the Vice President of Program & Network Integrity for Optum-Specialty Networks. In her current role, Martin participates in health care initiatives that serve members in both the private and public sectors. Overseeing system change & public sector program realignment, Elizabeth directs all public and commercial fraud, waste, abuse and error activities (audit and recovery) for both behavioral & physical health programs impacting individuals with complex medical and behavioral health conditions. Elizabeth started her present role after a successful tenure as CEO for OptumHealth New Mexico where she provided executive leadership for $430 million statewide, behavioral health contract and oversight of six regional offices. Martin came to Optum after twenty years’ private practice to advance the critical components of system change in the public healthcare system. Licensed to practice law in both New Mexico & Texas, Martin is an attorney and former business consultant specializing in operational management and systems building. An expert in alternative financing and program infrastructure, Elizabeth received her law degree from Boston College and a business degree from Creighton University.
