Ed Hewitt is program integrity solution consultant at HMS. He has more than 25 years of investigative experience, from big box retail to Las Vegas gaming and most recently in healthcare. He has held several positions in healthcare investigations, including special investigator for Blue Cross of Idaho, Special Investigations Unit director for Premera Blue Cross, and Special Investigations Unit director and chief investigative official for Blue Shield of California. Ed earned a B.S. in police science and administration from Washington State University and an M.S. in criminal justice from Chaminade University in Hawaii. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator.
