Tom Gualtieri-Reed, MBA, is a partner with Spragens & Associates LLC and consultant to the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC). Tom has over 25 years of health care experience in business operations, strategic development, and analytics. He works extensively with provider and payer organizations to support strategic and business planning and program development, including care delivery redesign, population health, and palliative care programs designed to improve the effective delivery of care. He has a specific interest in addressing the needs of the aging population and those with serious illness. Prior to his work as a consultant, Tom held various business and leadership positions at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Duke University Health System, Kaiser Permanente of North Carolina, and the University of Massachusetts Medical Center (UMass Memorial). Tom earned his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and his BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross.
