Terry Carpenter is the Services Development Executive for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2017. His career began as an Ensign in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1990. He is responsible for the acquisition of business systems, command and control systems and enterprise information technology services for the DoD in support of the warfighter. He has also served as the Chief of the Requirements & Analysis Office and Technical Director for the Component Acquisition Executive. Before he came to DISA, he served as the Technical Director for the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. He was also the President and CEO of NextGenData, Inc., which designed, developed and operated internet telecommunications and data systems for customers globally. Mr. Carpenter has over 30 years of experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics and a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science.
