Joe spent 14 years at Southern Company where he worked in electric transmission, distribution, and resource policy and planning. Joe has served on various regional committees as part of the Southeast Electric Exchange Working Groups for Overhead, Underground, Joint-Use, Transformers, National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and Pole Line Hardware. Joe joined Orange and Rockland in 2013 as a Principal Engineer in the Reliability Department where he analyzed outage data, frequent customer complaints, and commission inquiries. He led teams to identify the worst performing circuits within the service territory and helped select circuits that could benefit from storm hardening projects. In 2014 Joe became Department Manager – Technology Engineering in O&R’s Smart Grid & Distributed Generation Interconnection Department. Joe’s current duties entail Grid Modernization Implementation Plans for NY and NJ and facilitating implementation of DG in both states. Joe is also O&R’s DG Ombudsman.
