Nancye Blair Black is an award-winning educator and educational consultant who cultivates dignity-driven instructional practices. In recent years, she has designed and delivered professional development for ISTE’s mobile learning academy, ISTE’s Malaysian coaching certificate program, Edhesive’s Intro to Computer Science PD program, Smarter Balanced’s data use modules, and several other edtech initiatives. Her accomplishments as an educational change agent have garnered her many recognitions, including Teacher of the Year, ISTE Emerging Leader, and PBS Teachers Innovation Award-winner. Nancye is a contributing author to several books, including Tablets in K-12 Education, and is completing her doctoral work in Instructional Technology and Media at Teachers College, Columbia University. She currently serves as a school board member for the Lakeland Montessori Schools, as President for an ISTE affiliate, the Florida Society for Technology in Education (FSTE), and as a founding organizer for EdCampPolk.
