John Hickey is DISA’s Cyber Development Executive where he is responsible for delivering Cyber capabilities to support the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). His portfolio includes: Mobility, Networks Operations, Cyber Security and Innovation. As the DISA Cyber Development Director he is responsible for leading the acquisition, development, technology insertion, direction, and control over Cyber Security and Network Operations solutions in support of DoD. Prior to this role, Mr. Hickey served as DISA’s Cyber Security Risk Management Executive and Chief Information Officer, where he was responsible for managing risk in Cyber domain and ensuring security within DISA and across the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). As DISA CIO, he was responsible for managing the information technology resources including policy, budgeting and planning. Mr. Hickey previously served as the Portfolio Manager of DoD’s Mobility Program. He was responsible for the planning, resourcing, and acquiring of commercial capability to support unclassified and classified mobility as an enterprise service. He has also served as the Vice Director of the Defense Spectrum Organization responsibility for delivering enterprise spectrum management capability to support global operations.
