Jennifer Brachfeld Berne received her B.A in English Literature and Political Science from Tulane University, and she received her M.A. in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University. She taught at the university level for many years, and she currently teaches IB English and Creative Writing at North Broward Preparatory School. She believes in a student-centered learning environment in which students self-assess, think critically, and explore together. She believes in lifetime learning and has attended seminars at Harvard's Project Zero and The Future of Learning, IBO, East Asian Literature Conference, ISTE, and ASCD. She has presented at ISTE, FCIS, iTech21, and FETC. She is a Class Dojo Mentor, Google enthusiast, Apple Teacher, and Evernote advocate.
