Spencer C. (“Skip”) Weiss Vice President and Managing General Counsel of Fluor Corporation, an international EPC contractor, currently responsible for claims and dispute resolution. Has had various assignments during more than 25 year career with Fluor, including serving as the General Counsel of the Infrastructure Business Line and Duke/Fluor Daniel (power generation). Formerly with Smith, Currie & Hancock, in Atlanta, Georgia. Law Degree and Civil Engineering Degree, with high distinction, from the University of Virginia. Member, Tau Beta Pi, engineering honor society; Chi Epsilon, civil engineering honor society; and Phi Delta Phi, legal fraternity. Former member of National Panel of Construction Arbitrators of American Arbitration Association. Former member of Contract Documents Committee of The Associated General Contractors of America. Has authored and co-authored a number of published works and lectured on construction and government contract legal issues. Admitted to The United States Supreme Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, The United States Claims Court, and numerous other federal and state courts. Board member of Upcountry History Museum. Former board member of Greenville County, South Carolina, Redevelopment Authority. Former Assistant Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America.
