Sean Arthurs




Dr. Seán Arthurs is the Senior Manager of Education Initiatives for the National PTA and a 2016 graduate of the Doctor of Education Leadership Program (Ed.L.D.) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Arthurs’ research and practical experience focuses on teacher training and professional development, innovative community and school partnerships, and developing and implementing scalable civic education programming for high school students. He has facilitated a wide variety of online and in-person learning experiences, including the inaugural Scaling for Impact program, the Leading 21st Century High Schools Program in Professional Education, and two Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership modules. Before Harvard, Arthurs was a Clinical Teaching Fellow and Adjunct Professor of Law in the Street Law Clinic at Georgetown University Law Center. In addition to his Doctorate in Education Leadership, Arthurs has a B.B.A. (University of Notre Dame), a J.D. (University of Cincinnati), a Master of Arts in Teaching (University of Portland), and an L.L.M. in Advocacy (Georgetown University Law Center). Dr. Arthurs has worked as a judicial clerk, Legal Aid attorney, human rights volunteer, litigation associate, and high school teacher. When he is not attending school, Arthurs is learning and laughing with his two lively and inquisitive children who remind him frequently about how little he knows.
