In 2010 Michael was recruited by and joined Lendlease -- one of the world's largest and leading property development, infrastructure and construction companies. Michael is based in New York City. Michael has primary responsibility for managing all claims, risk and litigation on behalf of various Lendlease entities throughout the Americas, setting and ensuring delivery of the legal strategy for prosecuting and defending claims impacting Lendlease’s operating business units. Michael also maintains primary oversight for the Company's compliance framework throughout the Region, monitoring the compliance activities of Lendlease’s business units and functions to identify gaps and provide guidance on how to mitigate risk, avoid vulnerability and ensure compliance with applicable laws, contractual agreements and Company policies. Prior to joining Lendlease, Michael was one of the youngest Equity Partners in the 100-year history of the law firm of Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP, where he served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation Practice Group. Michael received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Boston College and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law. During law school Michael served as a legal intern in the White House for the Domestic Policy Council of the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
