"For over seven years, Jill Brooksbank has been actively implementing innovative and creative ways to engage her community as the Village of Pemberton’s Communications & Grant Coordinator. Jill’s background in arts and administration has heavily influenced her work with the community, and has shaped many of her engagement processes. Inspired by Dave Meslin’s TedX talk on increasing civic engagement, Brooksbank redesigned the Village’s Public Notice which was recognized in the National Post and Municipal World. The Village was also awarded the first-ever ‘Dazzling Notice Award’ by Meslin for its efforts to increase civic engagement by improving government communications and outreach."
