Courtney Nelson is the System Director, Real Estate Transactions for CommonSpirit Health (formerly Catholic Health Initiatives). Courtney oversees multiple facets of the system’s national real estate transaction activity including all leasing, development and strategic acquisition and disposition of real estate and land. Recently recognized by Connect Media as one of the Top 40 Women in Real Estate, Courtney has closed $1.5B in transactions during her time with CHI. Beyond her day to day, Courtney is a member of the ULI Health and Lifescience Council and will serve as co-chair of the BOMA Healthcare Conference for 2019 and 2020. Prior to joining Catholic Health Initiatives, Courtney worked for NexCore Group as the Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing. With NexCore, Courtney was responsible for all operational matters for a portfolio of healthcare real estate as well as managing due diligence activities for acquisitions and recapitalization activity. Courtney has additional experience in strategic value-add real estate investment, third party healthcare property management and investment management. Courtney received both her Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Stephens College, a private women’s college in Columbia, Missouri.
