David Nemir

TXL Group Inc


David Nemir is founder and president of TXL Group, Inc., an El Paso, Texas company that manufactures thermoelectric devices.˜ He received a PhD in electrical engineering from Purdue University in 1986 and was an engineering professor at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) from 1987 to 1996.˜˜ In 1996 he left the academic world to found X-L Synergy, LLC, a manufacturer of electrical shock protection devices, and later, TXL Group. Jan Beck grew up in Germany and came to the U.S. as a high school exchange student.˜˜ He attended UTEP and studied physics, computer science and engineering, receiving a PhD in systems engineering in 2004.˜˜ He is chief technology officer at TXL Group where he has worked since 2007.
