Annie Bouthillier
Teacher
École Paul-Jarry (Canada)

Annie Bouthillier graduated from the University of Quebec in Montreal. She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2004. She teached a great number of students from different backgrounds. She is currently a third grade teacher in one of the most underprivileged schools in Montreal. Teaching is her passion. She is always looking for fun, new and interesting ways to teach her students. One day, the principal of her school talked about coding. Mrs . Bouthillier was curious and did her research. With the help of her two young daughters, she experimented with the equipment available at her school. She knew right away that she needed to implement coding in her class. Annie Bouthillier is proud to be part of a team who has become a role model for other schools in her province where coding is still largely unknown and just starting to emerge in the educational domain.
