Born in 1963, Ensor attended a number of different schools following the various postings of his father’s military career. After gaining his Bachelor Degree in German and Politics from the University of Warwick in 1986, he began his career in publishing and media With Reed Information Services in London. In 1990, he joined Wilmington Publishing as European Sales Manager of Modern Power Systems magazine and began his ongoing involvement with the power generation sector. Promoted to Senior Advertising Manager, Ensor joined PennWell in 1999 as Sales Manager for PennWell’s international portfolio of power events, chiefly the POWER-GEN series of conferences and exhibitions. Subsequent advancement led to Ensor assuming the position of Director of International Events in 2006, with responsibility for all PennWell Corporation’s event interests outside of the Americas, including for PennWell’s petroleum sector. In this time, the increasing importance of energy policy and developments globally has seen huge growth in the POWER-GEN shows and their related events and Ensor looks forward to continuing to contribute to this process.
