After graduating in Technical Cybernetics & Automation Technology at Dresden University of Technology Dr. Hummel finished his doctoral theses in 1996. Since 1998 he has worked with Siemens in the field of automation of industrial steam turbines in Goerlitz. For the Oil-Free Industrial Steam Turbine project Dr. Hummel developed various monitoring, control & protection solutions.
