Matt Mathison is currently Vice President, Dairy Company Communications and Technical Services for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. Matt has been with WMMB for over 17 years, and has more than 35 years’ experience in the dairy and food industry. Matt is responsible for providing technical resources covering dairy product technology and safety/quality to the Wisconsin dairy industry. He partners with the Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research (CDR) to provide many of these technical resources. Matt coordinates several industry committees addressing dairy food safety and regulatory issues facing the Wisconsin dairy industry. Matt has been actively involved in food defense and emergency preparedness planning the last 12 years; including being the Board Chair of the Wisconsin Agro-Security Resource Network (WARN). Matt also participates in the national Secure Milk Supply project and co-manages the Secure Milk Supply for Wisconsin regional project. These projects focus on business continuity/food defense/emergency preparedness issues involving a foreign animal disease [FMD] outbreak. Matt is also a Past president of the Wisconsin Association for Food Protection.
