Mr. Kiattisak Kobkanjanakorn has background as a mechanical engineer, project engineer and project consultant for biomass and biogas power plant for more than 10 years. He was graduated Bachelor and Master Degree of mechanical engineering, Chulalongkorn University. After his graduation, he had been working as a project consultant, energy conservation and renewable energy department, the Energy Policy and Planning Office, Ministry of Energy. His major tasks include renewable energy policies and promotion measure initiations, coordinate and manage for the SPP biomass power plant subsidy program, and other related research and development projects granted by the Energy Conservation Fund. After working in the national policy maker agency, he has joined the technical department of Energy for Environmental Foundation, as the technical staff. His responsibility is to promote biomass and biogas projects in Thailand, under supports of experts and funds from the Global Environment Fund (GEF) and DANIDA (Denmark). His past consultancy works include rice husk fired power plant, palm oil effluent (POME) biogas power plants, etc. At present, as the director of Green Energy Network company, he has conducted many biomass and biogas power plant projects, for example, 6.5 MW palm residues cogeneration for palm oil mill, independent lender engineer services for many biomass power plant projects, palm oil effluent and solid waste biogas power plants, and cassava wastewater biogas plants.
