Michael Barakey (EFO, CFO) is the Fire Chief for Suffolk Fire and Rescue in Suffolk, Virginia. Chief Barakey is a National Registered Paramedic and a Taskforce Leader for VA-TF2 USAR Team. He graduated from Old Dominion University in 2002 with a Masters of Public Administration and is a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program (NFA), and has a Career Studies Certificate in EMS. He is also a contributor to Fire Engineering magazine.
