Shannon Almand




Shannon Almand has worked as the Director of Child Nutrition for Texas Public Schools and is in her 12th year. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the Purdue University of Indiana. She is an active member of the Texas Association of School Nutrition and School Nutrition Association. In 2015 she received her School Nutrition Specialist credential from SNA. She has a passion for School Nutrition and ensuring that every child is fed a nutritious meal. She has a strong desire to educate and empower Child Nutrition Professionals best to ensure the quality and safety of school nutrition programs. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Jeremy, and their seven children.
